2007 Vacation Bible School
Game Day Central:  Where Heroes are Made
Monday, July 9 - Friday, July 13, 2007
6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Children ages 3 through 5th grade

We had a great VBS!  Hope to see you next summer!

VBS Scripture:  "Run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith."  Hebrews 12:1-2 (HCSB)

  • Game 1:  Join the Team!  True heroes obey God even when it's not easy.
  • Game 2:  Play Your Position!  True heroes do their best in everything.
  • Game 3:  Get in the Game!  True heroes believe in Jesus and follow God's plan.
  • Game 4:  Take it to the Next Level!  True heroes put others first.
  • Game 5:  Recruit New Teammates!  True heroes tell others about Jesus.

VBS Offering:  We worked together as a team to try to "fill the hoop".  Each offering dollar earned one ball in the basketball hoop, with the goal of filling it by the end of the week.  The children brought in $230.45!  As a celebration for meeting their goal, VBS Director Lorri Landon and Pastor Charles had large coolers of water dumped over them!

We enrolled 101 children over the week including 38 children who do not have a home church, and had an average VBS attendance (including workers) of 129.  Our workers made sure that the children were fed spiritually and physically over the week through rotations through Bible study, missions, crafts, music, snacks, and recreation.  Most importantly, two youngsters made the decision to give their lives to Christ during the week!
