Bible Study - Twin Pines Adult Care Center
Tuesday mornings, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AMEvery Tuesday morning you
will find a faithful group of people at the Twin Pines Nursing Home.
They have come to share the love of God with the residents and workers
through Bible study and singing. This ministry has been going on
for many years. God caused it to begin, and it is by His grace
that it continues.
Our numbers will vary from week to week, depending on health
circumstances and what other activities are on the agenda. We
usually have somewhere between 20 and 40 residents and staff members
attend. At the present time, we have several helpers coming
faithfully. They include Lloyd Cory, Neal Elliott, Gene & Thelma
Anderson, Evonne Vande, Mayme Spencer, Virginia Banner, Pam Crooks,
Jesse Golden, and Deloris Maxey. There is always a need for others
to help. If anyone feels this would be something God would have
you do, we invite you to come and join this group.
We try to arrive about 9:00 a.m. This allows time to help those
in their wheelchairs and to visit with several others. Our time
begins at 9:30 with prayer, poems, and the singing of Amazing Grace.
Then we have time with our Bibles. Scripture is read and
discussed. We try for as much interaction as we can. For the
last 30 minutes, we sing the old hymns. They like the old ones
they can sing without holding books or reading words; for many, this can
become an effort.
All of us receive such a blessing.
